Hopkins Concrete recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its Bridgwater plant, which they invested a cool £2.5 million in last year. Chalk & Ward PR recommend the event as a great way to help raise the profile of the plant with key stakeholders and helped organise the event, seeing it as a great opportunity for Hopkins Concrete to catch up with new and existing clients and show off its state-of-the-art operations in Somerset.
The family-run company invited local tradespeople to their site, located on the edge of the M5 motorway, to enjoy a trade expo in partnership with other local businesses. This included Builders Merchant, RGB building supplies, DeWalt Power Tools, Scruffs Work Wear, VW Van Centre, Yeovil Hire Centre and Crestmoor Training. Guests enjoyed site tours by Bridgwater Operations Manager, Nick Jean and his team, topped off by food from Somerset Hog Roast and Somerset cider (who doesn’t love a hog and cider….??!).
Attendees were also tasked with naming five famous international concrete structures, to win a place at the Hopkins Concrete F1 Grand-Prix competition, at Nigel Mansell’s Raceway in July. The second event is not only a fun thank you to clients, but also keeps up momentum in Hopkins Concrete’s local and regional profile building.
Rob Allen, new company Director for the growing company, says: “We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who turned out to celebrate with us. The sun was shining and conversations were flowing. It was great to show existing clients what we do and meet some new Somerset faces as well.” He added: “Thanks to Chalk & Ward PR once again for their help and support – as always it was much appreciated and you played a blinder.”
(Thanks Rob, you are welcome!!)
We look forward to continuing the celebrations at Hopkins Concrete Grand-Prix and – being a rather competitive bunch here at Chalk & Ward PR – will be aiming to take positions on the podium!
