The Force Awakens – the return of Attention Media

By January 6, 2016 January 2nd, 2019 No Comments

Away we have been.  Ok, that’s enough Yoda speak!

After a short spell away, we are pleased to announce that Attention Media is back and we are bigger and better than ever before! Now boasting a team of six highly skilled, capable and talented individuals, you will find us beavering away in our new premises in the heart of Princesshay in Notaries House (behind Jamie Oliver’s restaurant) – so do pop in for a coffee (or a sneaky beer / glass of wine from our bar) if you’re in town.

We’re off to a flying start!

No sooner had we announced the resurrection of Attention Media (01 December), we received the fab news that we had won three new clients – Cornish Lime Company, Gartell & Son and Landpower.

After settling down from the excitement (which took some time, we must confess), we did reflect that whilst very different businesses, all require strategic counsel on PR and marketing. Strategic thinking is what really gets us going here (it exercises the grey matter, waking it after a slumber during the festive break), and we look forward to progressing with the strategy for all three over the coming weeks and months – watch this space!

Bigger is better

On top of the recent client wins, we are also pleased to announce that we will be adding even more services to our in-house team as we have recruited the talents of a digital expert, Liam Taborn, and a visual communications genius in the name of Sarah Lawrence-Ball.

Liam will be spearheading the digital arm of the business, taking control of online strategies for those businesses invested in making an impact online, be it via online advertising or social channels. Having worked for agencies and in-house, Liam brings with him a wealth of online experience and know-how.

Sarah is a highly proficient and experienced artworker, having worked with international brands such as L’Oréal and as well as benefitting from her artworking magic, Sarah will be offering clients animation, video and will also be supporting Liam with social media too.

Attention Media MD, Sarah Jepson, says: “Online PR and marketing is a core offering for Attention Media, so recruiting Sarah and Liam will really help strengthen our online offering even further. Having the skills our clients need in-house is of paramount importance to us – not only does it mean integrated and joined-up PR and marketing, it also means a slicker and smoother process…fab news as we like to constantly work at 100 miles an hour!”

How strategic PR and marketing made a difference to the launch of Exeter’s newest pizza restaurant, Base + Barley

It is easy for us to blow our own trumpet (we are in PR and marketing after all), but here are a few words from Joe Hill, Managing Director of Base + Barley following the launch of their new restaurant on Longbrook Street.

“This is the first time we have used an integrated communications agency to launch one of our restaurants and I can honestly say that the results have been really impressive. From coming up with creative ideas to raise our profile in a crowded market place, to project managing the implementation of them, along with organising all of the other collateral, their ability to make noise online with key influencers has been phenomenal. We set the team a task of securing 500 Twitter followers in two weeks, they smashed it, doubling our target! The launch event itself was knock-out, with the restaurant full of Exeter’s movers and shakers.

Thanks Joe, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves 😉
