Big Hospitality reports UK coffee shop market to be worth over £15bn by 2020
It’s official, we are a nation of coffee lovers… some might even say coffee addicts – and judging by today’s announcement on Big Hospitality, a leading hospitality news site, coffee sales are set to represent £15bn to the drinks industry by 2020.
Coffee shops are constantly crammed with people imbibing the brown nectar, and judging by the number of people donning a takeaway coffee cup on the morning commute, this is surely a go-to accessory for office workers seeking an early morning hit.
This news is of interest to us here at Attention Media as we are responsible for the global communications for growing artisan coffee shop, Artigiano. With five UK locations including Cardiff, Exeter, Reading and London, Artigiano has witnessed around a 50% growth in coffee sales across its stores in 2015, and the brand is expecting double digit growth again in 2016.
We love to hear our clients’ businesses are booming and the future is looking bright for this ambitious enterprise, in fact it literally makes us jump for joy. Oh hang on, perhaps the surge in energy could be attributed to the grande, triple shot, skinny ice latte (no foam) just consumed 😉
